Workshop on U.S.-Japan Digital Innovation
and Advanced Technology 2022

Designed to bridge the distance created by the COVID-19 pandemic, this workshop aimed to bring U.S. and Japanese researchers back together to launch a new era of digital innovation.
Objective
目的
Cooperation between the U.S. and Japan is necessary in order to expedite the development of cutting-edge science and technology across many areas, including artificial intelligence, quantum information science, and carbon neutrality. For such cooperation to be effective and sustainable, comprehensive efforts are needed not only on the part of governments but also of grassroots organizations. It is also essential to train, educate, and prepare STEAM human resources who will be responsible for research. To facilitate these objectives, the U.S.-Japan Digital Innovation Hub Workshop has been organized by universities in the U.S. and Japan. Although the workshop was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to restart the initiative and will again hold a workshop with the participation of Japanese and U.S. universities. Our aim is to strengthen collaboration in advanced science and technology in the U.S. and Japan.
