Assoc. Prof. Akira Imakura and Prof. Tetsuya Sakurai (with Asst. Prof. Ryoya Tsunoda, Asst. Prof. Rina Kagawa, and  Prof. Kunihiro Yamagata of the Institute of Medicine) received the 6th Academic Paper Award from the Japan Association for Medical Informatics (JAMI). The purpose of this award is to encourage contributions to the development of the field of medical informatics, and to honor the authors of papers that have made significant contributions to the development of scholarship and technology in related scientific and technological fields. The award ceremony was held at the 43rd Joint Conference on Medical Informatics in Kobe, Japan, November 22-25.
